Today's guests on The Dairy Show, Dr. Fatemeh Vakili and Dr. Mike Sklash have made it their life's work to understand nitrate and how it interacts in our environment. Through their research, it is possible not only to identify the origin of nitrate in water (plant, animal or chemical), but also determine the age of the nitrate in the water. This information combined with other data points has often times helped resolve permitting issues and prevented litigation from being pursued.
